Marlow Regatta- Championship Eights
This weekend sees the majority of men's domestic rowing clouded by the prominence of Henley Women's Regatta over this weekend, which is great to see the depth of women's rowing in the UK and abroad growing every year. That being said, Marlow acts as a crucial indicator for most crews wishing to compete at Henley Royal Regatta in two weeks time, while offering crews the last opportunity to earn a seeded spot for the 5-days of racing.
Pairs Head 2019
This Sunday the first of the major Tideway Head races kicks off with Pair’s Head, a gruelling 4.5km down the Championship Course, finishing early at Harrods Wall. Last year’s 417 entries have been increased, with 458 pairs and doubles from as far afield as Southampton Coalporters and Durham Amateur Rowing Club.
Wallingford LDS - J16 Events
The first major event of the rowing year, Wallingford Long Distance Sculls pits the very best of the Thames Valley (and a few from further afield) against each other down a 4250m course, and it's a great opportunity for scullers to get their name out there early and make the most of their summer training.
